Series of Circumstance: Laughing at Myself

SoC is a one-night-only performance of original work meant for screen, stage and the page. Stuck waiting for permission? Wait no more. Feel you are a draft away? Perfect. Lets get it on its feet. Come into a fun, immersive environment and see work come to life. Show up how you want to, share your creativity or simply soak it in. Series of Circumstance is designed to spark something - laughter, tears, or you know, whatever.

WELCOME,

It all started over a coffee. Too many talented friends, too many emerging writers, directors, and actors - not seeing their work come to life. So? SoC was came to life. The goal is simple — connect good people and bring bold work to life in a recurring night of short-form black box theater.

Lets simplify. Strip away the pressure of the “perfect” presentation. We want artists to find unique ways to tell the stories that excite them and let the story do the work.

Every form is not only welcome but encouraged — shorts, plays, scenes from features in development, present a poem as a monologue or a novel as scene work. Get it off the shelf and onto our stage.

Each event follows a unique theme. We aim to challenge artists in a way that is inspiring and engaging. Fresh pieces, that speak to the moment and damnit- Have fun with it.

Once selected the each group will have ~one month to prepare the piece for the stage. Spicy.

The only thing we ask - PUT IT ON ITS FEET!

SoC is an intimate no-agenda gathering united by a love for storytelling and exists as a creative catalyst to experiment, collaborate, and connect.

hey… yea you… you made it this far, might as well-
